Community Choir
Originally from the Double Rock Baptist Church of Compton, CA, and formed under the guidance of Pastor Joseph L. Holmes, The Voices Of Inspiration is now an independent Christian community choir that has been singing with and directed by Rev. Alexander Hamilton since March of 1973. With their ministry in song they have inspired and encouraged many people throughout the western United States.
Their professional credits include television appearances with The Beach Boys, Diahann Carroll, Debbie Boone, Phil Driscol, Lola Falana, Barbara Mandrell, Jerry Lewis, and a record album with the group "Chicago".
They were the featured choir in the television pilot "The Easy Street Show" and were profiled on the "On Stage America" show in 1984. In June of 1985 they competed with over 75 choirs from the Southern California area in the first Los Angeles "McDonald's Gospelfest" and were the Grand Prize winners.
They currently have three CDs released:
"Glory, Hallelujah!", "God Can", and a Christmas album: "Praise Him Till".

Immanuel Presbyterian Church, one of the oldest churches of Los Angeles, California, is housed in one of the most beautiful gothic cathedrals to be found anywhere. The main sanctuary has a ceiling almost six stories high, and seats close to 3,000.
Early in 1991, the leaders of Immanuel Presbyterian Church of Los Angeles decided to enhance their efforts to reach out to the community by adding Gospel music to their regular services; thus the Gospel Choir was born--originally under the direction of Mr. Charles May.
In February 1992, Alexander Hamilton accepted their call to directorship.
In July '92 they joined with members of The Voices Of Inspiration to appear on the CBS television series "Middle Ages", and in August '92 the choir recorded their first album: "Gothic Gospel".
In October 1993 they became a fully independent community choir--singing God's praises throughout the greater Los Angeles area--and in the summer of '95 were featured on stage with Natalie Cole at the Hollywood Bowl.
